Booking and Policies

HOW TO BOOK:

1. Text the shop phone number: 1 (516)841-1939
2. Texting is the primary way to book your appointment and set up your consultation! DMs will be answered at a much slower pace.
3. PLEASE greet yourself first! We want your experience to be personable from start to finish.
4. Include your NAME and the SERVICE you’d like. (Tattoo or Piercing). For ALL Tattoo services; include reference pictures of the tattoo you want, the desired size of the tattoo, and where you want the tattoo.
5. To set the appointment, we first require a 25% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. This will go towards your tattoo. Please see our cancellation policies below.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE FOR A TATTOO AND PIERCING?

According to NY State Law Section 260.21, you must be at least 18 years of age in order to get a tattoo, even with parental consent and presence. You must also be at least 16 years of age to get a basic piercing (earring, bellybutton ring, and nose ring). You must be at least 18 years of age to get an exotic piercing (everywhere else).

Rescheduling and Cancellation:

We value our time and we also understand emergencies happen. If you need to cancel your appointment, PLEASE reach out to Mike and the shop within 7 DAYS before your SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. If you cancel your appointment after already making a deposit, and you DID NOT leave a 7 DAY NOTICE notice, you will lose the 25% deposit. If you need to reschedule your appointment, please call us and we will discuss the next available time slot that we can tattoo you. We appreciate you understanding our shop’s policies.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE:

Please come sober, hydrated and on a full stomach. You are getting ready to start a whole new chapter in your life and we take all the precautions necessary to ensure you have a safe, clean and fun experience. Alcohol and other substances are known to make you bleed more during your sessions and potentially cause you to pass out. We reserve the right to deny you service if we feel that you are unfit for your session. Some extra sleep definitely won’t hurt!

PAIN AND HEALING:

Every person tolerates pain in their very own way. Tattoos and Piercings hurt differently. Especially, depending on how sensitive the area is. We are here to make you look even cooler, not hurt you. If you are ever at all uncomfortable please let our artists know. This goes the same with healing. The industry standard is two weeks for a tattoo to “heal” but, this varies from person to person. Skin can also take weeks or months to fully recreate.

COVID-19:

Mad Mike Ink follows and practices ALL the safety regulations and guidelines put forward by our city, state, and federal governments. We excel at establishing the safety of our staff and of our clients. Please refer to the NY Government Website if you need more information on what the current standard is.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

Tattoos: Your tattoo can NOT be returned. We understand that things may happen and sessions can not always be completed. You are responsible for paying for the work that has already been done on you. We will not charge you for any Tattooing that has not been conducted. Please understand that there are levels of pain per tattoo. Please do not wear any lotions, perfumes, colognes, oils, or sprays on the area that you are getting tattooed. Safety is our #1 priority.

Piercings: If you come in for a piercing (appointment or walk-in), you are responsible to pay the $25 fee. If you do not go forward with the piercing you are still required to pay. However, we will provide you with the earring and materials.

Crooks Ink : $200 Per Hour
